Battle of the Bands is an annual campus event hosted jointly with the various media- and music-related societies on campus. This is one of the biggest broadcasts YSTV is involved with, filming each night of the competition live and making it available for on-demand viewing.

Battle of the Bands 2009
The 2009 series of Battle of the Bands took place in Goodricke college (now James college) for the heats and semi-finals, ending with a spectacular final competition hosted in the Courtyard.
